I hope all of my U.S. followers are enjoying their Labor Day. My goal for this long weekend was to complete a project that I started, and am embarrassed to say, over 8 months ago. I finally finished it!!
A good friend of mine had a baby in January and I wanted to make Brianna a "Name Sign" for her room. Here is the final project, though long in coming, finally finished and I'm loving how it came out. When I first saw the "Once Upon a Springtime" papers from Graphic 45, I knew I wanted to create this project using them. How could a project not be fabulous using these wonderful papers! I hope you all have a wonderful week!
The blue flower spray is from Prima and the gold butterfly is from Lindy Stamp Gang. The bunnies are cut from the paper line and the little paper butterflies are punched from a Martha Stewart punch.
Fussy cut of the flowers and mouse from the paper line.
I used my Silhouette to cut the name. I LOVE how the Silhoutte cuts are so detailed. The pearl swirls are from Prima.
I got the shadow box from Dick Blick Art store. I'm lucky to have a store only 20 minutes from where I live.
I used Tim Holz corners and Picket Fence crackle paint for the finish.
Absolutely magnificent! Brianna and her Mom will cherish this for life. You do amazing work.
ReplyDeleteNice one Tina. I have done a couple of projects using Once upon a Springtime...GORGEOUS! I recently tried to crackle a spice rack to hold my paints in and it didn't crack. I was and still am very disappointed as it's too big for me to sand back and start again.(arthritis) I too love how this turned out. I'm sure your friend feels very privileged that you created this for her daughter.
